Stats

Statistics or stats are the critical properties of ships. Stats determine the success chance of rescues and Salvage Forays, which NPCs you encounter in the asteroid belts and, of course, if you win or lose a battle. Stats can be raised through research and by installing items. There is a distinction between base stats and modified stats. Stats consist of weapons, shields and engines.

Base Stats

Base stats are the stats a ship has without any items equipped. They can be enhanced through research and determine what kind of mining you can do.

Modified Stats

Modified or equipped stats are the stats a ship has with items installed. These stats are modified by the installed items and are usually higher than the base stats. The modified stats count for rescues, salvages and battles.
